Collect the fragments

Each Lost Channel NFT is split into nine equal in size parts called fragments. Collect all nine fragments of the same Lost Channel to unlock it. You can purchase the fragments on OpenSea for as little as 0.02 ETH or even get them for free (see FAQ below for more details)

Trade with others

If the desired Lost Channel fragment belongs to someone else, you may have to acquire it from them directly. You may even have a fragment of a different Lost Channel that they are after.

Discover the lost channels

Every Lost Channel contains a unique 3D scene ranging from simple objects to more complex images. You may have to put your laser eyes to use to see it, though. There are 50 Lost Channels NFTs to collect. Which one will be yours?

lost Channels NFTs

There are 50 Lost Channels NFTs to be discovered. Once unlocked, a Lost Channel NFT can be sold and bought as a regular NFT. However, you can NOT unlock the same Lost Channel again, even if you have all the necessary fragments. Browse and view the Lost Channels below or visit the collection page on OpenSea.

What is the Lost Channels project

The Lost Channels is an experimental NFT project that is designed to encourage the members to collect and trade tokens. Once certain conditions are met the members are then rewarded with unique autostereogram non-fungible tokens called the Lost Channels.

Autostereogram (some of you may remember the Magic Eye books published in the 90s) are two-dimensional images that encode a 3D scene that can be viewed with a proper technique. Each Lost Channel contains a unique scene ranging from popular memes to objects and game characters.

The project consists of two collections, Lost Channels (collectibles) and Lost Channel Fragments (trading cards). Each Lost Channel is split into nine equal in size parts called fragments. Although the fragments look the same, every fragment is one-of-a-kind and many contain the elements of the final Lost Channel scene.

To earn the reward (discover the Lost Channel) the member must collect and hold all nine fragments of the same Lost Channel.

I can't see the #$%!*&%ing thing!

We understand the frustration! It's perfectly fine not being able to see the 3D scene hidden in the image straight away. If you're not familiar with autostereograms it may take some practice. Click here to see the instructions.

Can I buy the Lost Channels NFTs?

Not from us and not until they're discovered. Lost Channels NFTs have to be unlocked before they may be bought or sold. You can unlock the Lost Channels by collecting & holding all nine fragments of the same Lost Channel. Once the Lost Channel is discovered, it can be sold/bought like any other token.

What are the fragments & where to buy them

The fragments are the collectible parts of the Lost Channels. They're equal in size and are almost identical in appearance. In reality, every single fragment is entirely unique and may contain the elements of the final 3D scene. To see the hidden images, though, you may have to put your laser eyes to work.

You'll need to collect nine fragments of the same Lost Channel to discover it. Fragments can be bought from the official OpenSea collection and/or from the other member.

Can I buy fragments from the Lost Channels project directly?

You may be able to purchase the fragments from the official Lost Channel Fragments collection on OpenSea. Make sure to follow us on social media, so you don't miss out on the next drop.

Technically, you may be able to buy all nine fragments of the same Lost Channel from the project directly. However, the Lost Channels discovered this way may not carry as much value as the channels with an extensive trade history.

How much do the fragments cost

The fragments are listed at 0.02 ETH on the official collection. The price of the new fragments may and probably will go up with every new drop. The fragments may also be acquired from the other collectors at the market value. To avoid the unnecessary and costly gas fees the fragments are listed on the Polygon blockchain.

We assign the same value to all fragments when released. However, many fragments contain elements of the final 3D scene which may impact the value in the secondary market.

How many Lost Channels and fragments are out there

There are 50 Lost Channels and 450 fragments. To make sure the fragments won't end up in the hands of a few, we'll be releasing them in stages.

We will consider creating additional Lost Channels if the first stage of the project is a success. The original plan was to create 1,000 Lost Channels NFTs, which is an absolute limit.

I have all the fragments, how do I unlock the Lost Channel?

Make sure that you have all nine fragments of the same Lost Channel, i.e., CH3201100001 CH3201100010 CH3201100011 CH3201100100 CH3201100101 CH3201100110 CH3201100111 CH3201101000 CH3201101001.

The first one-two digits are the channel number, the rest of the digits correspond to the fragment number in a sequence.

Send us a message from the contact form below and we'll be in touch with the next steps. As a general rule, the collector would need to pay the gas fees.

Should the project succeed, we'll be looking into the possible ways to make this step automated.

What happens if someone destroys a fragment or doesn't want to sell it

This is one of the risks and we're currently looking into different possible solutions. For example, a patch fragment may be released and awarded at random to one of the current holders. We definitely don't want the collectors to suffer due to the actions of one individual.

You mentioned something about free fragments?

To create decentralization and encourage more users to participate in the project we'll be giving away some fragments for free. Follow us on social media for the latest updates on the current giveaways.

What are the green images on this website?

Some people may have difficulty seeing a 3D scene on a random dot (white noise) autostereogram. The green images you see on the Lost Channels website are image (texture) autostereogram designed to make it easier to see the 3D scene. For more help with viewing the images, please visit the following guide.

I bought a fragment of the discovered channel...

Selling fragments of the discovered channels is prohibited! We're looking into possible solutions to make this technically impossible to do. We may also take the necessary actions against the offending party.

Important! Before purchasing a fragment from someone else, please make sure that the channel has not been yet discovered by looking at this website.

What is the future plan for the Lost Channels project

Should the first stage of the project succeed, that is we can see a lot of interest and participation, we'll be looking into:

  • Adding more lost channels
  • Improving the quality of autostereograms
  • Working on additional textures (filters) that can be used to modify the look and clarity of the discovered lost channels
  • Making the whole process more automated and mainstreamed
  • Bringing the project to the masses through marketing
  • Getting more people involved in the project
What are the risks?

The Lost Channels project carries the same risks as any other NFT project. In addition to these risks, there are also some additional risks involved, including but not limited to:

  • An individual collector buys out a large number of fragments to manipulate the price
  • The participants sell the fragments of the discovered Lost Channels
  • A particular collector destroys the fragment or holds it for a long time, preventing the other collectors from discovering the Lost Channel

Important! Please exercise caution and make your own decisions, like any other NFT project there are many risks involved.
